"How to Get a Job at Foreign Companies?"... KOTRA Hosts Event with HR Managers
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] KOTRA held the 'Foreign-Invested Companies (FIC) Meeting Day' event on the 22nd at its headquarters, Invest Korea Plaza, in Yeomgok-dong, Seoul, providing an opportunity for 20 job seekers hoping to work at foreign companies and representatives of FICs with new hiring plans to communicate intensively.
At the event, the German foreign-invested company 'Korea Dreca' participated. Dreca operates in 190 countries worldwide and employs 14,500 people. Korea Dreca was established in 1990 and deals with medical and industrial safety technology equipment. Jeong Gwang-yeol, Deputy General Manager of Korea Dreca, said, "Recently, large-scale recruitment events have been canceled or downsized, making it difficult to hire personnel," adding, "This FIC Meeting Day event was very helpful."
KOTRA explained that starting with this event, it plans to regularize the 'FIC Meeting Day.' The purpose is to invite HR managers from foreign-invested companies once a month to directly address the questions of job seekers hoping to join foreign companies.

Jang Sang-hyun, CEO of KOTRA Invest Korea, said, "Due to COVID-19, it has been difficult to hold large-scale recruitment events," and added, "Even if the scale is not large, we will discover and promote additional events that provide practical help to both companies and job seekers."
