Yangsan-si Accepting Applications for 2021 Rural Residential Environment Improvement Project
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, is accepting applications for participation in the 2021 Rural Housing Environment Improvement Project to improve living conditions in rural areas and create a pleasant residential environment.
According to the city on the 22nd, they plan to renovate and repair 5 houses under the Rural Housing Improvement Project and 3 houses under the Vacant House Maintenance Project.
The Rural Housing Improvement Project targets returnees to farming and rural areas and farmers who wish to build new, extend, or remodel old and poor-quality houses. The houses must be single-family homes built on the same lot with a total area of 150㎡ (including auxiliary buildings).
Selected applicants will be supported with project loan funds (up to 200 million KRW for new construction, and up to 100 million KRW for extension or remodeling) and can choose between fixed and variable interest rates. Repayment options include a 1-year grace period with 19 years of installment repayment or a 3-year grace period with 17 years of installment repayment.
Additionally, if the applicant and their family intend to reside permanently, acquisition tax will be reduced, and cadastral survey fees will be discounted by 30%.
The Vacant House Maintenance Project provides demolition cost support for houses left unattended for over a year that harm the aesthetics, with up to 500,000 KRW per household for slate roofs (additional support possible through the Ministry of Environment's slate disposal linkage project) and up to 1,000,000 KRW for general roofs.
