MFDS Holds Online Briefing on National Food Safety Certification System
Introduction to Related Policy Directions and Support Projects
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 22nd that, together with the Korea Food Safety Management Certification Institute, it will hold an online briefing session on the 25th of this month for food export companies regarding the 'National Food Safety Certification System.'
The National Food Safety Certification System is a program in which the government certifies the safety of exported food products to support the overseas expansion of the domestic food industry. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is promoting the establishment of the system and customs clearance support.
In this briefing session, topics such as policy directions related to the National Food Safety Certification System, guidance on support projects for the certification system, and export-related issues in major export countries will be covered. In particular, tailored consultations on regulations of export destination countries and support for safety inspections will be specifically introduced throughout the project.
