Lee Jae-myung's '2nd Disaster Basic Income' Applications Surpass 10 Million in 21 Days
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The number of applicants for the 2nd Disaster Basic Income in Gyeonggi Province surpassed 10 million within 21 days of online registration.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 22nd that as of 11 PM on the 21st, the number of applicants for the 2nd Disaster Basic Income reached 10,024,877. This accounts for 74.6% of the total eligible applicants, which is 13,438,238.
Applicants using Gyeonggi local currency total 1,930,217, and those using credit and debit cards from 12 commercial banks total 7,502,218.
The province began accepting online applications from the 1st of this month, providing 100,000 KRW per Gyeonggi resident as Disaster Basic Income. Applications will be accepted online until the 14th of next month. Additionally, on-site applications will start from the 1st of next month.
Applications for foreign nationals will begin on April 1st.
