11st and Post Office Launch 'Sangsaeng Delivery' for Small and Medium Sellers
Providing Reasonable Contract Rates for Post Office Delivery to 11st SOHO Sellers
No Additional Shipping Fees for Island and Mountainous Areas, Post Office Visits Directly for Over 10 Daily Orders
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] 11st announced on the 22nd that it has launched the 'Sangsaeng Delivery' service in collaboration with the Korea Post, allowing small business owners who have difficulty signing courier contracts due to low shipping volumes to use the service without burden.
11st's 'Sangsaeng Delivery' service is designed for small business owners such as startups and SOHO sellers who have to use courier services at relatively high rates due to low initial sales volumes. It offers reasonable contract rates for Korea Post delivery even with small basic volumes. Small and medium sellers with low shipping volumes typically pay around 3,500 to 4,000 KRW per delivery when using general courier services.
11st's 'Sangsaeng Delivery' allows the use of Korea Post delivery at much lower costs. For those shipping more than 10 items a day, Korea Post also provides direct pickup services. When applying through Seller Office, 11st's dedicated seller site, Korea Post contacts the sellers directly to negotiate and finalize contracts based on each seller's shipping information, including exact pickup addresses, whether pickup is needed, and pickup times.
11st expects that providing reasonable contract rates for Korea Post delivery will help activate sales for small and medium sellers. In particular, Korea Post delivery was ranked first in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's courier service evaluation in 2019, offering high-quality delivery services without additional charges for deliveries to remote island and mountainous areas.
Jinwoo Lee, Head of Sales Planning at 11st, said, "Based on Korea Post's nationwide delivery infrastructure extending to eup and myeon levels, we aim to provide a favorable sales environment for sellers and simultaneously improve the perceived quality of 11st's delivery service for customers."
To commemorate the launch of the 'Sangsaeng Delivery' service, 11st is running a promotion where sellers who apply within three months after the launch will receive a courier rate of 2,300 KRW for all parcels under 5kg for three months after the contract.
