[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 21st that 11 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in connection with Dance Hall A located in Uijeongbu-dong.
According to Uijeongbu City, after a user who visited this dance hall was first confirmed positive in Yangju City on the 16th, Uijeongbu health authorities sent a disaster alert message on the 18th advising anyone who visited Dance Hall A (Colatec) between the 1st and 17th of this month to get tested at the nearest screening clinic.
Accordingly, 2 people tested positive on the 18th and 1 person on the 20th, and by 5 p.m. on the same day, a total of 11 people, including 7 from Seoul’s Dobong-gu, Jungnang-gu, and Nowon-gu districts, were confirmed positive.
Uijeongbu health authorities analyzed the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the dance hall and notified about 180 users who visited between the 1st and 17th of this month to undergo COVID-19 testing and self-quarantine.
