Gwangju City Provides Subsidies for Replacing Low-NOx Burners in Factories and Apartment Complexes
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 21st that it will promote the 'Low-NOx Burner Installation Support Project,' which provides subsidies when replacing boilers in factories or apartment complexes with low-NOx burners.
A low-NOx burner is a device that improves combustion efficiency, reducing fuel consumption by 2-10% compared to a regular burner.
It is also known to reduce nitrogen oxides, a major greenhouse gas and a primary cause of fine dust, by 52% compared to regular burners.
This project provides subsidies covering 90% of installation costs, ranging from 2.48 million KRW to a maximum of 15 million KRW depending on the boiler capacity, when replacing old general burners installed in ▲ boilers ▲ cooling/heating water devices ▲ drying facilities in small and medium-sized enterprises, non-profit corporations/organizations, office/commercial buildings, or apartment complexes with low-NOx burners.
Gwangju plans to support 45 units this year and will accept applications on an ongoing basis from the 22nd until the project budget is exhausted.
