Robber Breaks Into 'The Same House from 4 Years Ago' Again After 6 Months Post-Release... Ultimately Sentenced to Prison
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] A woman in her 50s who returned to the house where she committed a robbery six months after her release and stole items again was sentenced to prison.
On the 21st, the Ulsan District Court Criminal Division 2 (Judge Yoo Jung-woo) announced that A (53, female), who was indicted for trespassing and theft, was sentenced to 8 months in prison.
A was charged with breaking a window and secretly entering the two-story house of B in Dong-gu, Ulsan, last October, stealing a pair of women's boots worth about 50,000 won. A tried to run away with the stolen shoes but hid again in the boiler room of the house after seeing a nearby police officer, but was eventually discovered and caught.
According to the police investigation, A had also entered this house in 2017, committed a robbery, injured the resident, and was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. She returned to steal shoes just six months after her release.
During the trial, A claimed that she visited to apologize to the victim for the robbery incident.
