'In the COVID-19 Era, Kok! Kok! Gathering Smart College Life Ideas' Theme

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Gyeongnam Information University (President Chu Man-seok) held the final round and awards ceremony of the 1st National Junior College Student Creative Convergence Idea Competition on February 19th, live-streamed using the TC building and Zoom.
Under the theme "In the COVID-19 Era, Smart University Life Ideas Gathered," this event was conducted to strengthen student capabilities and spread educational achievements through creative convergence new technology education.
Six teams from Daejeon Health University, Daelim University, Daewon University, Chosun Nursing University, Yongin Songdam University, and Gyeongnam Information University advanced to the finals and competed fiercely through online presentation evaluations.
The finals began with Daejeon Health University's presentation on "Plastic containers covered with a film-type cover that makes food waste disposal easy."
Following were presentations by Gyeongnam Information University titled "In the COVID-19 Era, From the Corner of the Room to the World!," Chosun Nursing University’s "Hospital (Field Practice) VR Experience Using Cospace," Daelim University’s "Capstone Design On-Tact Education and Production Methods," Yongin Songdam University’s "Y_RUN FESTIVAL (Finding Lost School Life)," and Daewon University’s "Untact Yeolnapul."
As a result of the final judging by five expert judges in each field, the awards were as follows: ▲Grand Prize Daewon University ▲Gold Prize Chosun Nursing University ▲Silver Prize Daelim University ▲Bronze Prize (3 teams) Daejeon Health University, Yongin Songdam University, and Gyeongnam Information University.
The winning teams received the President’s Award from Gyeongnam Information University and a cash prize. The grand prize-winning team (Daewon University Ariari)’s idea, "Untact Yeolnapul," is a non-face-to-face volunteer project for mask-wearing education targeting marginalized groups and overcoming COVID Blue, and plans to share the idea with junior college students nationwide in the future.
Im Jun-woo, head of the Innovation Support Project Group at Gyeongnam Information University, which hosted the event, said, "We plan to hold the 2nd competition with various themes to flexibly adapt to the non-face-to-face environment and induce creative convergence thinking among university students."
