Gangnam-gu Completes Online 'Mock Interview and Interview Special Lecture' with Job Seekers
Non-face-to-face Interviews via 'Zoom' on 17-18th... Current and Former Employees Share Interview Know-how as Talent Donation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) held an online event, "Mock Interviews and Interview Special Lectures," over two days from the 17th to the 18th to help young people overcome employment difficulties.
This event was conducted to provide young job seekers with opportunities to experience online mock interviews and attend interview special lectures, aiming to strengthen their employment capabilities in the COVID-19 era.
The district recruited 172 job seekers preparing for online interviews in advance, and 20 current and former employees from domestic and international companies volunteered their talents to assist with the mock interviews. All proceedings were conducted in a non-face-to-face manner using the video conferencing platform "Zoom."
On the first day, the 17th, 52 participants who applied for mock interviews in five job categories including sales, marketing, IT, and overseas employment conducted mock interviews in eight rooms, each composed of two interviewers, received feedback, and four outstanding interviewees were selected.
On the 18th, a special interview lecture was held by the hiring team leader of the global company GE Healthcare and the former HR team leader of SK Innovation, along with a public second-round mock interview of the four selected candidates from the previous day. Interview know-how was shared with over 100 participants who observed the session.

Meanwhile, the district operates a "Job-Seeking Company Invitation Day" at the end of every month and has been actively supporting various employment assistance programs for small and medium-sized enterprises and job seekers facing difficulties due to COVID-19, such as helping two companies hire nine employees in January.
