3 Overseas Arrivals Confirmed with COVID-19 in Gwangju... Total Cases Reach 1,979
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Three more COVID-19 cases were confirmed overnight in Gwangju. All are imported cases.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 20th, three people who arrived from the United States last night were consecutively confirmed positive and classified as cases 1977 to 1979.
Among the five confirmed cases in one day, four were overseas arrivals. Case 1976 arrived from the Philippines.
So far, among the 1,979 confirmed cases in the Gwangju area, 1,855 are local infections and 124 are imported cases.
Since the first local case was reported on February 3 of last year, 623,586 people have been tested. Currently, 5,417 people are awaiting test results.
A total of 32,476 people have been classified as contacts of confirmed cases, and currently 695 are in quarantine.
