Seo-gu announced on the 19th that on the 18th, it conducted a preliminary on-site inspection by visiting Yeomju Sports Complex, which will operate as a COVID-19 vaccination entrusted medical institution and vaccination center.
Considering comprehensively the indoor space area for social distancing, separation of entrances and exits for flow distinction, transportation convenience, and accessibility to emergency medical institutions, Yeomju Sports Complex was selected as the vaccination center.
Seo Daeseok, the head of Seo-gu, and related officials carefully reviewed the separation of flow for those waiting for vaccination and vaccinees, securing waiting spaces, and the deployment of medical staff and administrative personnel through this on-site inspection, ensuring thorough preparation for vaccination.
They also visited Shinsegye Internal Medicine Clinic, an entrusted medical institution participating as a COVID-19 vaccination contracted doctor at nursing facilities where priority vaccination is implemented, inspected the site, and delivered the “COVID-19 Vaccination Task Entrusted Medical Institution” designation certificate.
Currently, the priority vaccination targets in Seo-gu include 27 nursing hospitals, psychiatric medical institutions, and nursing facilities, totaling 1,405 people including inpatients and residents under 65 years old and workers.
Vaccinations will begin from the 2nd to the 12th of next month once vaccines are supplied on the 26th; medical institutions with resident medical staff such as nursing hospitals will conduct vaccinations independently, and at nursing facilities, contracted doctors and visiting vaccination teams from health centers will administer vaccinations.
From the end of next month, to operate the vaccination center, vaccine freezers and related equipment will be purchased and installed at Yeomju Sports Complex.
