Guri-si Prioritizes 'Traditional Market Environment Improvement' in Han River Riverside Urban Development Project
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province has decided to consider environmental improvements such as undergrounding power lines around Guri Traditional Market as the first phase of the Hangang Riverside Urban Development project.
On the 19th, according to Guri City, the first phase of the project includes smart modernization of the traditional market, expansion of H2 infrastructure linked to the Green New Deal policy, and expansion of smart bicycle paths connecting the Hangang riverside and the old downtown area.
The Guri AI Platform City Development Team, the preferred negotiation partner for the development project, plans to immediately start the 'Digital Twin' capable of real-time data analysis and simulation through artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure smooth project progress.
Additionally, to thoroughly prevent the hollowing out of the old downtown area caused by new town development, the project to transform the old downtown into an advanced smart city before developing the project site in the Topyeong-dong area along the Hangang riverside is also under consideration.
