View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Choyoung] As the court ruled that the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's cancellation of the designation of autonomous private high schools (Jasago) was illegal, Na Kyung-won, the People Power Party's preliminary candidate for Seoul mayor, criticized the current administration on the 19th, saying, "It seems that the desire of parents to provide even slightly better education for their children is seen as a 'bad intention' by the Moon Jae-in administration and pro-government superintendents."
On the morning of the same day, Na posted on her Facebook under the title "Abolishing Jasago is a policy to boost Gangnam housing prices and worsen Seoul's imbalance," claiming that the government is conducting so-called "Jasago killing" and insisting that "there should be at least one Jasago or foreign language high school in each of Seoul's 25 districts."
She asked, "Is the desire of parents to provide even slightly better education for their children wrong?" and pointed out, "At least to the Moon Jae-in administration and pro-government superintendents, it seems to be a 'bad intention.' Just look at the so-called 'Jasago killing' happening under this administration."
Furthermore, she stated, "The Moon Jae-in government and the Democratic Party plan to forcibly convert all Jasago, foreign language high schools, and international high schools into general high schools by 2025. This administration is conducting so-called 'Jasago killing,'" and criticized, "This is a clear infringement on educational autonomy and a declaration of educational leveling down."
Na also strongly criticized, saying, "The result of abolishing Jasago and foreign language high schools is the skyrocketing housing prices in Gangnam and Mokdong, worsening imbalance in Seoul, and the deterioration of educational inequality," adding, "All the policies of this administration, which claims to control real estate prices, are just policies that boost housing prices."

She continued, "There should be no need to move because of school districts and schools," and pledged to create excellent school districts in all 25 districts of Seoul to open an era of "our neighborhood Jasago." She also announced plans to establish so-called "Global Community Centers," where native-level English education can be received for 20,000 to 30,000 won per month by district.
