[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 19th that President Song Jong-wook participated in the ‘Children’s Traffic Safety Relay Challenge’ upon the recommendation of Lee Seung-geon, CEO of Toss.
The ‘Children’s Traffic Safety Relay Challenge’ is a participatory campaign organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety since December last year to establish a culture prioritizing child protection and to build social consensus on preventing children’s traffic accidents.
Participants post certification photos with messages encouraging participation in traffic safety in school zones, along with hashtags such as #ChildrenProtectionZone, #TrafficSafetyPractice, #StopAtOne, #LookBothWays, #ForThreeSeconds, and #PreventFourHighRisks on social networking services (SNS), and nominate the next participant in a relay format.
President Song Jong-wook of Gwangju Bank, who joined the challenge upon the nomination of Lee Seung-geon, CEO of Viva Republica (Toss), took photos holding traffic safety slogans together with employees and children from the company daycare center, encouraging employees to raise awareness about preventing children’s traffic accidents.
Earlier, on the 2nd, Gwangju Bank and Toss signed a business agreement to activate digital new services and partnership marketing, joining hands to lead digital innovative finance.
President Song Jong-wook of Gwangju Bank said, “I hope all local residents will unite their hearts to protect children, our future, and prevent children’s traffic accidents,” adding, “We will continue to strive to practice ESG management with steady interest in social issues and do our best to realize values beyond profits as the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam.”
