A Total of 2,767 Graduates... 2,470 Awarded Associate Degrees, 297 Awarded Bachelor's Degrees

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] This year’s graduation ceremony at Gyeongnam Information University (President Chu Man-seok) was a YouTube degree conferment ceremony.

Gyeongnam Information University held the "49th Degree Conferment Ceremony" at 2 p.m. on the 18th at the Miraegwan Global Convention Hall.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the degree conferment ceremony was conducted both on-site at Miraegwan and live-streamed online via YouTube. At this ceremony, a total of 2,767 graduates were awarded degrees, including 2,470 from the associate degree program and 297 from the four-year bachelor’s degree program.

Among the graduates, 24 received awards from internal and external organizations, including Lee Kyung-jin (Next Generation Automobile Department) who received the Dongseo Academy Min Seok-sang Award, Lee Hyuk (Architecture Department) who received the Dongseo Academy Chairman Award, Hana Eun (Business Department) who received the National Assembly Member Award, and Kim Sang-hyuk (Renewable Energy Electrical Department) who received the Busan Mayor Award.

Chairman Park Dong-soon said to the graduates, “I hope you live your lives without forgetting the motto of Gyeongnam Information University: diligence, independence, cooperation, and faith. Even in despair, I hope you become people who pray and never give up.”

President Chu Man-seok opened his congratulatory speech by saying, “I am happy to send you off knowing that you have trained yourselves harder than anyone else and are well prepared to step out into the world.”
