Gang Involved in Drug Sales and Use via Telegram Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 18th, the Changwon District Court in Gyeongnam sentenced A (36) and two others, who were indicted for selling drugs through Telegram (violation of the Narcotics Control Act), to imprisonment for 2 years and 6 months to 3 years and 6 months.
Additionally, B (29) and two others, who were also indicted on the same charges, were sentenced to imprisonment for 1 year to 1 year and 6 months, with a probation period of 2 to 3 years.
From January to March last year, they promoted and sold drugs such as methamphetamine and ecstasy through Telegram, earning about 130 million won, and some of them used the drugs themselves.
