Gwangju City Calls for Volunteer Program Participating Groups Until the 26th
Differentiated Support of 1 Million to 1.5 Million Won for Operating Expenses
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 18th that it is recruiting organizations to participate in the ‘2021 Volunteer Program Contest Project’ until the 26th.
The contest targets volunteer organizations with 10 or more members located in Gwangju and registered on the ‘1365 Volunteer Portal.’ If selected as an active organization, program operation expenses ranging from 1 million to 1.5 million KRW will be supported differentially.
The contest types include volunteer activities aimed at creating a warm Gwangju community of sharing and solidarity, such as responding to climate change, welfare checks, and safety. Gwangju plans to discover various non-face-to-face volunteer programs that respond to changing times in the future.
Organizations wishing to participate in the project can fill out the application form during the reception period and submit it by visiting or emailing the Gwangju Volunteer Center. Gwangju will conduct a review of the submitted organizations and announce the final selection next month.
For details related to the contest, please refer to the Gwangju Volunteer Center website or inquire by phone.
