Haman-gun Offers Free Rental of 'Pregnant Women’s Seat Belts' to Reduce Abdominal Pressure
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Public Health Center of Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 18th that it is promoting the 'Free Rental Service of Seat Belts Exclusively for Pregnant Women' to protect the lives of pregnant women and fetuses.
This project was prepared to respond to the economic burden on families during pregnancy and childbirth and to the declining population, and has been promoted as a new project since July of last year.
The target of the project is pregnant women who are at least 16 weeks pregnant and registered residents in the jurisdiction, and the seat belts can be rented for about six months until childbirth.
If you want to rent for free, you can apply by submitting the pregnancy support one-stop service application form when registering as a pregnant woman or by visiting the health center directly.
Research shows that wearing a seat belt is more than 80% safer from accidents compared to pregnant women not wearing one.
In addition, the seat belt exclusively for pregnant women complements the discomfort of existing seat belts by reducing abdominal pressure and providing fixation on both thighs and support for the pelvis.
