Jeonnam Province Seeks Companies Exporting Premium 'Cheonil Salt'
Recruiting 2 Companies... Support for Development Costs and Overseas Marketing Expenses
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province is recruiting participating companies for the ‘Sea Salt Export Activation Support Project’ to create new demand through the expansion of premium sea salt exports.
According to the province on the 17th, the support target includes sea salt production and export companies located in the province that have export performance overseas or are capable of exporting in the future. Applications are accepted until tomorrow.
Selected companies will receive support for development costs such as export product containers and packaging for sea salt and processed products using sea salt as raw materials, as well as overseas marketing expenses including participation in international exhibitions and inviting foreign buyers.
A comprehensive evaluation, including document review on export performance, overseas market development achievements, export potential, and food hygiene, as well as on-site verification, will be conducted for the submitted companies to select two companies.
The Sea Salt Export Activation Support Project is a program independently supported by Jeonnam Province to overcome the price decline and market contraction of sea salt.
Since 2017, two companies have been selected annually, supporting a total of eight companies so far.
In addition, the province plans to continue various support measures to ensure that not only traditionally produced sea salt but also high-quality functional salt products processed to meet international standards are widely exported worldwide.
