According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 17th, as of midnight on that day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk region was 3,077 (including 47 imported cases), which is 15 more than the previous day (including 1 imported case).
The number of new confirmed cases by region is 5 in Cheongdo-gun, 3 in Gyeongsan-si, 2 each in Yeongju-si and Yecheon-gun, and 1 each in Gunwi-gun, Bonghwa-gun, and Uljin-gun.
In Cheongdo-gun, three employees of a boiler factory located in Asan, Chungnam, and two of their contacts tested positive consecutively.
Among the three new confirmed cases in Gyeongsan-si, one is a contact of Gyeongsan case number 883 confirmed on the 14th, another's infection route is unknown, and the other is an imported case.
Among the two new confirmed cases in Yeongju-si, one is a contact related to the confirmed case at Seoul Seongshim Hospital, and the other is a contact of Yeongju case number 67 confirmed the previous day. In Yecheon-gun, two contacts of confirmed cases from the Ulsan region who tested positive the previous day were confirmed positive.
In Gunwi-gun, a contact of a prior confirmed case (Gunwi case number 13), in Bonghwa-gun, an infection of unknown origin, and in Uljin-gun, a contact of a confirmed case from Incheon each tested positive.
Since February, the daily number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk region has been 10 on the 1st, 12 (including 2 imported) on the 2nd, 6 on the 3rd, 7 (including 1 imported) on the 4th, 7 (including 3 imported) on the 5th, 1 on the 6th, 6 (including 1 imported) on the 7th, 5 (including 1 imported) on the 8th, 2 on the 9th, 1 on the 10th, 4 on the 11th, 5 (including 1 imported) on the 12th, 5 (including 1 imported) on the 13th, 8 on the 14th, and 3 (including 1 imported) on the 15th.
