On the 16th, the county announced that it had been selected in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' "2021 Return-to-Farming and Rural Area Attraction Support Project" competition, securing a project budget of 260 million KRW to implement various support projects.

"Living in the Countryside" is a program that provides urban residents hoping to return to farming or rural living with housing and experience programs for up to six months. The program operators receive necessary operational costs and incentives.
Sancheong-gun is currently recruiting villages and organizations to operate the "Living in the Countryside" program.
The "Returnee Farming and Rural Area Experience Education" project offers rural experience activities and basic practical knowledge education to support the stable settlement of (prospective) returnees to farming and rural areas.
The "Returnee Farming and Rural Area Mentoring Support Project" designates local residents as mentors for returnees to farming and rural areas, helping them settle stably and promoting integration with the local community.
In addition to these new projects, Sancheong-gun annually implements various support projects such as ▲ New Farmer Farming Settlement Support Project ▲ Returnee Farming and Rural Area Housing Repair Support Project ▲ Returnee Farming Stable Settlement Support Project ▲ Operation of Returnee Farming Houses.
To provide information on the various projects promoted by Sancheong-gun to urban residents interested in returning to farming and rural areas, the county operates consultation booths at various festivals and expos, returnee farming and rural area guidance helpers, and a returnee farming and rural area support center.
