Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, Continuous Support from Local Companies Maintained
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Heo Seok) announced on the 16th that it received a donation of 10 million KRW from Atec Co., Ltd. (CEO An Woo-jung).
Atec Co., Ltd., a steel pipe manufacturing company located in Seomyeon, Suncheon, has donated a total of 30 million KRW to support talent development in Suncheon City so far.
CEO An Woo-jung stated, “As these are difficult times due to COVID-19, I hope this small contribution can help local talents who are nurturing their dreams without losing hope despite challenging circumstances.”
Suncheon Mayor Heo Seok said, “Even during the Lunar New Year holiday, when we could not visit in person due to COVID-19 and only conveyed our feelings in spirit, I am grateful for the deep interest shown in fostering Suncheon’s talents.” He added, “Continuous and meaningful support from local companies will be the driving force to discover and nurture future talents of Suncheon.”
Meanwhile, the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, established in 2001, has awarded scholarships totaling 1.81 billion KRW to 2,179 recipients based on academic excellence, special talents, academic improvement, and low-income status.
