Concert planning company Vincero announced on the 15th that Baek Geon-woo will hold a concert themed on Schumann at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall on March 12. Baek Geon-woo released a new album, 'Schumann,' last September and conducted a nationwide recital tour. This time, he will also meet audiences outside Seoul who were unable to attend previously. Starting with Daejeon Arts Center on the 26th, audiences can also see Baek Geon-woo and Schumann at Daegu Concert House (March 4) and Art Center Incheon (March 6).
Following Schumann, Baek Geon-woo will perform with the Korean Symphony Orchestra conducted by Choi Hee-jun at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall on the 14th of next month. Choi Hee-jun also serves as the artistic director and chief conductor of the Suwon City Symphony Orchestra.
Baek Geon-woo will perform Bart?k's 'Piano Concerto No. 3' and Debussy's 'Fantaisie for Piano and Orchestra.' Bart?k's piece embodies the intense authenticity of Eastern Europe and the free lyricism of 20th-century music. Debussy's piece is known for its dreamy French color.
