Incheon TP-Incheon Airport Corporation Launch Pilot Project to Support Jobs Hit by COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) and Incheon International Airport Corporation are promoting the 'Incheon Airport-type Job Support Pilot Project' to restore the job ecosystem in the Incheon Airport area, which was severely impacted by COVID-19.
This project provides job search activity support funds, welfare support funds, and recruitment support funds to job seekers and workers in the Incheon Airport area who lost their jobs due to COVID-19, as well as to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The support areas include the 'Reemployment Support Project for Middle-aged and Older Airport Workers (10 people, up to 1 million KRW per person)', 'Retention Incentive for Young Airport Workers in SMEs (31 people, up to 900,000 KRW per person)', and 'Recruitment Support Project for Airport Workers in SMEs (21 people, up to 3.6 million KRW per person, up to 5 people per company)', with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Incheon TP website by the 19th and sending it along with the required documents via email to kjh529@itp.or.kr.

An Incheon TP official stated, "This will help unemployed individuals who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 in their job search and contribute to job creation in SMEs." He added, "We will continue to collaborate with Incheon International Airport Corporation to develop and implement measures to revitalize aviation and airport-related jobs."
