Ulsan City to Provide Employment Incentives up to 1.6 Million KRW per Month for Youth Hiring SMEs
‘Good Matching’, ‘Juryuksaneop’ and 76 Others for 6 Months
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) hiring support projects that cover up to 1.6 million KRW per month in employment incentives are being carried out in Ulsan.
Ulsan City is promoting two major projects?the ‘Ulsan Youth-Enterprise Win-Win Project Good Matching Program’ and the ‘Youth Job Project Focusing on Key Industries’?to support youth hiring in SMEs that have been stagnant since COVID-19. The total number of supported hires is 76, with 38 per project.
The ‘Ulsan Youth-Enterprise Win-Win Project Good Matching Program’ matches youths who have completed capacity-building training with excellent small and strong enterprises designated by the government and local governments.
When hiring full-time employees, employment incentives of up to 1.6 million KRW are provided for six months. Among participating companies, outstanding enterprises are selected and given 10 million KRW per company to improve working conditions.
The ‘Youth Job Project Focusing on Key Industries’ supports employment incentives of up to 1.6 million KRW for six months when youths are hired by regional SMEs headquartered in Ulsan in shipbuilding, automobile, petrochemical, non-ferrous metals, and energy-related industries.
This project was selected as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘2021 Regional-Led Youth Job Project.’ It aims to reduce labor cost burdens for SMEs hiring youth by providing employment incentives and to offer stable full-time jobs to youths for stable regional settlement.
Applications can be submitted by visiting, mailing, faxing, or emailing the Ulsan Job Foundation (Youth Job Center) by February 26.
