Gwangju Dong-gu 'Apartment Online Education' Conducted
Mandatory 4-Hour Completion for 255 Residents Across 43 Tenant Representative Meetings
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 10th that it will conduct resident representative meeting operation and ethics education for members of resident representative meetings in apartment complexes online for the first time among autonomous districts in the Gwangju area.
?
There are 43 apartment complexes subject to mandatory management in the district with 255 members, and according to the Apartment Complex Management Act, they are required to complete 4 hours of education annually for transparent and fair operation of apartment complexes.
The education targets are members of resident representative meetings subject to mandatory management (executives and representatives by building), but even those not subject to it, such as apartment complex management office managers and interested residents in the district, can take the course.
Dong-gu has conducted this education annually in a group education format, but due to difficulties in holding group education following COVID-19 social distancing measures, this year it decided to replace it with online education.
In particular, it signed a consignment contract with LH Central Apartment Complex Management Support Center, a specialized apartment complex education institution, and conducts education with high-quality content, covering ▲ operation of resident representative meetings ▲ selection of contractors such as construction and services ▲ community revitalization ▲ human rights protection for irregular workers (security guards), and overall education on apartment complex management.
Dong-gu expects that this online education will enhance the professionalism and transparency of apartment complex operation by ▲ providing broader educational opportunities ▲ enabling review after completing online education ▲ strengthening support for apartment complex management information.
Applications for the course can be made on the LH Apartment Complex Management Education Cyber Training Center website, and the education cost will be fully supported by Dong-gu.
Also, if COVID-19 social distancing is eased, group education will be held in October as in previous years for elderly residents who find online education difficult.
