Gyeongnam Province, "Apply Now for 'Small-Scale Cultural and Arts Event Support'!"
Up to 10 Million Won Support for New Art Groups Led by Youth
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 10th that it will hold a public contest for the '2021 Small-scale Cultural and Artistic Event Support Project' to strengthen the capabilities of local cultural and artistic organizations.
This project supports private organizations that hold events to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of cultural and artistic organizations within the province.
The total support scale for this year is 150 million KRW. Selected organizations will be supported up to 10 million KRW, with the support amount varying depending on the project content.
Eligibility for application includes private organizations conducting projects or activities aimed at promoting culture and arts, with plans for small-scale nonprofit and public cultural and artistic activities, and priority will be given to newly established art groups led by youth.
However, projects receiving support from Gyeongnam Province or the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Promotion Agency, organizations without representatives or managers, and projects that have been decided to discontinue support based on subsidy project performance evaluations are excluded from support.
The application period is until the 19th, and applicants must submit the application form and other required documents by registered mail or in person to the Culture and Arts Division of Gyeongnam Provincial Government.

Jo Hyeongho, head of the Culture and Arts Division of the province, said, "We hope this project will help small-scale and youth cultural and artistic organizations struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "We will also make efforts to support non-face-to-face artistic activities in accordance with the COVID-19 situation."
