View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Kyowon Edu (CEO Jang Pyungsun) announced on the 10th that it has opened the 100th experiential edutech lounge, the ‘Red Pen Experience Center’ (Nam Incheon branch), expanding customer touchpoints.
According to Kyowon Edu, the ‘Red Pen Experience Center’ is a space where any customer can experience edutech programs. Since November last year, Kyowon Edu has been expanding base centers across all provinces and cities nationwide, opening the 100th branch in just over three months. The plan is to expand the experience centers to 200 branches in major regions nationwide by the second half of the year to increase customer accessibility.
The Red Pen Experience Center allows customers to experience edutech educational content, learning management, and counseling. Programs such as Smart Red Pen, a tablet PC-based educational product, Toyosae English and Chinese, REDPEN AI Math, REDPEN Coding, and REDPEN Early Childhood Korean can be directly experienced. Additionally, customers can read and borrow various Kyowon Edu collections, and 1:1 learning management on various topics is also provided.
As a customer touchpoint channel specialized for the COVID-19 era, great care was taken to ensure a safer environment for experiences. The space was configured using ‘Brickit,’ a modular system furniture by ‘Envisible,’ which won first place in Kyowon Group’s startup nurturing project. Brickit is made from non-toxic materials free of environmental hormones and has obtained KC certification confirming safety for children aged 3 and above. Kyowon Edu explained that daily disinfection is conducted, with no more than two edu planners on site, and operations are managed through visit reservations according to the number of people per area standard.

A Kyowon Edu official said, “As parents’ concerns about learning grow due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, parents are responding positively to being able to receive expert counseling and experience edutech learning content in a safe environment close to home. We hope it becomes a complex experiential space that provides various educational services while being as easy and convenient to visit as a convenience store near home.”
