Goheung-gun Provides the Nation's Largest Support for Rice Seedling Box Treatment Agents

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Goheung-gun (Governor Song Gwi-geun) announced on the 9th that it is currently promoting the largest nationwide rice seedling box treatment project worth up to 2 billion KRW to prevent rice pests such as rice planthoppers and brown stink bugs, which have recently been causing damage to rice farming.
The 'seedling box treatment' is a pesticide that can comprehensively prevent and control major rice pests with a single treatment of the seedling tray. It reduces the number of pest control applications during the rice cultivation period, resulting in excellent labor and management cost savings. It is expected to help establish a stable rice production base as well as increase agricultural income.
The county plans to accept applications through the town and township offices until the 18th and supply the pesticide to farmers in early April.
