On the 8th, former Mayor Oh stated on Facebook, "What exactly is candidate Ahn Cheol-soo’s identity?"
Former Mayor Oh claimed that Ahn played a decisive role in the appointment of Chief Justice Kim in 2017. He said, "At that time, Ahn said that our (People’s Party) lawmakers made a decision for judicial independence and reform when the appointment consent bill for Chief Justice Kim passed the National Assembly," adding, "Now, Ahn says that Chief Justice Kim has no will to uphold the constitutional values of judicial and trial independence."
He continued, "Is he siding with the ruling or opposition party based on his own interests?" emphasizing, "In 2017, the People’s Party, with 40 seats, supported the appointment consent bill for Chief Justice Kim and showed a pro-government stance. In 2021, the People’s Party, with 3 seats, claims to be opposition."
