"Changwon National Industrial Complex Production Reaches 50 Trillion Won This Year" ... Changwon City Announces Detailed Plan
1.4387 Trillion Won Invested in 108 Detailed Projects Across 6 Sectors
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 8th that it will promote projects worth 1.4387 trillion KRW, including private investment, through 108 detailed projects in 6 sectors to achieve a production value of 50 trillion KRW at the Changwon National Industrial Complex this year.
The projects to be promoted are in six sectors: ▲Corporate Management Support ▲Infrastructure Development ▲Export Support and Startup Activation ▲Core Industry Advancement ▲Energy Industry ▲New Industry Promotion.
First, through loans worth about 1 trillion KRW, including funds from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Gyeongsangnam-do Province, support will be provided for the stabilization of small and medium-sized enterprises' management, and 19.85 billion KRW will be invested in 10 projects such as various corporate revitalization projects and strengthening SME capabilities.
In the infrastructure development sector, national projects will be secured through the National Industrial Complex Smart Industrial Complex creation project and the Small but Strong R&D Special Zone, while attracting research institutions within the Jinhae Free Research Zone, promoting 47 projects worth 277 billion KRW.
The export support and startup activation sector will focus on export support through the establishment of a Video Business Center and improving startup survival rates and competitiveness through projects such as the construction of the Jinhae R&D Knowledge Industry Center.
The core industry advancement sector plans to lead the market in the special ship industry by establishing a smart special ship and unmanned ship demonstration center, and will promote three projects including the establishment of a metal material demonstration test bed related to materials, parts, and equipment, and the development of core parts and technologies for future automobiles.
The energy industry sector, which will become a new core industry, will attract national policies such as hydrogen pilot cities and hydrogen specialized complexes, and will promote 14 projects this year including a leading fuel cell power generation project worth 800 billion KRW in private investment.
Additionally, for LNG gas turbine power generation, projects such as the establishment of a gas turbine parts manufacturing technology support center and talent development will be promoted. The new industry promotion sector will integrate AI and ICT technologies into Changwon's core manufacturing industry and other sectors, promoting projects such as the establishment of an AI-based HVDC power equipment international accredited testing and certification infrastructure and smart health care service projects.
