Ministry of Education Raises Donations for Public Officials' Lunar New Year Goodwill Gift Sharing Campaign
Gifts Delivered to Residential Treatment Centers, Medical Staff, and Elderly Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education is participating in the 'Public Officials' Lunar New Year Goodwill Gift Sharing Campaign' to support socially vulnerable groups and medical staff struggling due to COVID-19.
On the 2nd and 3rd of this month, the Ministry of Education raised funds through the voluntary participation of Ministry officials and the Ministry of Education Officials Labor Union. This effort aims to help the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries industries affected by COVID-19 and to share warmth with vulnerable groups, medical staff, and quarantine personnel.
With the funds, agricultural, livestock, and fisheries products from regions affected by last summer's flood damage were purchased and gifts were delivered to medical staff and quarantine personnel working at residential treatment centers established in universities and the Central Education Training Institute, as well as to Joseph's House, a senior welfare facility.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, an agricultural, livestock, and fisheries product purchase challenge will also be conducted, where employees who purchase products above a certain amount will receive small Onnuri gift certificates to encourage consumption of these products.
