Preparing for Increased Online Orders, Distribution Logistics Centers Also Under Inspection
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] The government will implement special quarantine management for distribution facilities such as department stores and large supermarkets during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) announced on the 7th that it received a report from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the 'Quarantine Management Plan for Distribution Facilities in Preparation for the Lunar New Year Holiday' and held related discussions.
In preparation for the increase in visitors to department stores and large supermarkets during the Lunar New Year holiday, the government decided to carry out special quarantine management including ventilation and disinfection of distribution stores, as well as mask-wearing and social distancing for employees and customers. The ban on tasting and sampling events and the use of cosmetic samples will be maintained, and events that could increase crowd density inside stores are also prohibited.
Large distribution facilities will undergo daily on-site inspections led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy until the 14th, and corrective measures will be taken for any deficiencies found.
In addition, in response to the increase in online orders, on-site inspections and guidance for distribution logistics centers and delivery personnel will be strengthened. The government stated that since the end of last month, it has been conducting weekly on-site inspections of distribution logistics centers together with related agencies, and will immediately take corrective actions if any points needing improvement are found. Delivery personnel will also be guided to thoroughly disinfect delivery vehicles and manage personal quarantine.
