Emart24 "Valentine's Day, Send Thick Love with Ddokkaebi~"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Emart24 announced on the 7th that it is targeting both the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) and middle-aged consumers with two Hite Jinro Toad-themed goods (Piggy Bank Set and Cup Set) for this Valentine's Day.
The Piggy Bank Set consists of a blue toad-shaped piggy bank and four packs of I'me Crush Milk Choco Balls. The Cup Set includes a storage cup hugged by a toad figure, containing seven pieces of I'me Truffle Chocolate. The storage cup can be used to hold accessories or stationery.
The price for each of the two toad goods is 14,900 KRW. When paying with BC Card or Paybook by February 14, customers can purchase the toad goods at a 50% discounted price of 7,450 KRW (maximum discount of 7,450 KRW per person per day, one purchase per day).
Emart24's strategy is to appeal to the MZ generation who like unique products by featuring Hite Jinro's toad character, while evoking nostalgia among middle-aged consumers who remember Jinro Toad Soju.
In addition to the toad goods, Emart24 has selected about 130 Valentine's Day promotional items including chocolates, jellies, and candies, increasing the selection by 40% compared to last February, and is running buy-one-get-one and buy-two-get-one-free events.
There is also a promotion running until the 13th of this month where customers who pay 10,000 KRW or more for any Ferrero Rocher product (7 types) using KakaoPay will receive 5,000 KRW back as KakaoPay points. This is the first time Emart24 is discounting all Ferrero Rocher products in a Valentine's Day event.
