Operation of Situation Room, Rapid Response to Pollution Incidents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will conduct special monitoring of pollutant-emitting businesses until the 14th in celebration of the Seollal holiday.
By conducting special monitoring of wastewater discharge businesses and livestock manure discharge facilities before and after the Seollal holiday, the plan is to prevent illegal discharge of pollutants exploiting gaps in management and supervision.
Before the Seollal holiday, notices on the Environmental Pollution Prevention Act and cooperation letters for voluntary self-inspection by businesses will be sent to 67 pollutant-emitting businesses.
For businesses with repeated violations, focused inspections will be conducted, and if violations of related laws are found, administrative measures and legal actions will be taken simultaneously.
During the Seollal holiday, a situation room will be operated to respond promptly in case of pollution accidents.
