View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (Chairman Kim Jeong-hwan, hereinafter referred to as KICO) announced on the 4th that it conducted sharing activities worth a total of 31 million KRW to share warmth with socially marginalized groups in the local community and to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
In January, KICO headquarters donated 10 million KRW in relief funds to the 'Hope 2021 Sharing Campaign' in cooperation with the Daegu Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Su-hak). KICO has participated in the Hope Sharing Campaign for six consecutive years, and the donated funds will be used for emergency living expenses, medical expenses, and other support for marginalized neighbors in the local community.
In celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, the headquarters and 13 regional offices conducted sharing activities worth a total of 21 million KRW through collaboration with economic cooperation organizations, local governments, and related institutions to support vulnerable groups marginalized in the community. In particular, the Daegu Regional Office held a Lunar New Year sharing delivery ceremony jointly with Daegu Global Leading Companies on the 3rd.

The three-week-long Lunar New Year sharing activities were conducted in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, delivering Onnuri gift certificates and necessary items purchased with them through welfare institutions and social welfare facilities in a non-face-to-face manner. Chairman Kim Jeong-hwan of KICO stated, "KICO is making efforts to fulfill the social responsibility of a public institution by conducting various social contribution activities such as supporting marginalized groups in the region and small business owners," and added, "This year will be a year of leap forward to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, and we will work even harder in various ways for the local residents who are going through difficult times."
