He added that the quantities to be supplied rapidly this year and next year, as well as those to be supplied over the mid to long term, have all been secured.
In his opening remarks at the 'Party-Government Consultation on Expanding Housing Supply in the Metropolitan Area' held at the National Assembly that morning, Floor Leader Kim said, "We have prepared a large-scale housing supply plan beyond expectations for the Seoul metropolitan market." He mentioned, "We have prepared various types of supply plans by region and timing," and emphasized, "The stability and speed of housing supply are the core of this policy, and it will alleviate the market's supply and demand anxiety to realize the dream of homeownership for the homeless."
Floor Leader Kim also explained, "We have established supply strategies by location type, such as promoting public redevelopment and public reconstruction linked to the regeneration of deteriorated old downtown areas, and relaxing regulations in station areas and semi-industrial zones to increase residential density."
He further added that they will promptly proceed with legal and institutional improvements for rapid housing supply. Floor Leader Kim said, "The party will prioritize improving related laws and systems," and urged, "The government should also make every effort to ensure that the housing supply measures are carried out without any setbacks."
