Baemin, Up to 30% Discount on 'Jeonguk Byeolmi'
Direct-from-Farm Service 'Jeongukbyeolmi' Products on Sale with Discounts Until the 14th for Lunar New Year Holiday
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Agricultural and marine specialty products produced by local small business owners will be sold on Baedal Minjok (hereinafter Baemin) at prices up to 30% cheaper. Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin (CEO Kim Beom-jun), announced on the 4th that they will offer discounted sales of specialty products nationwide to help expand sales channels and increase sales for local producers in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
This event will run until the 14th, the last day of the Lunar New Year holiday, targeting about 100 specialty products listed on Baemin's 'Jeon-guk Byeolmi' (Nationwide Delicacies). Baemin Jeon-guk Byeolmi is a direct delivery service that connects local producers and consumers, delivering fresh local food to customers wherever they want, and helps small business owners expand their sales channels. Baemin has carefully selected small business owners from Jeju, Gyeongnam, Jeonnam, and Chungnam regions, which represent their areas with symbolic and growth potential, in collaboration with local governments and small business associations.
For this discount sale, local foods representing each region such as Jeju bull horn conch, Gyeongnam Uiryeong manggae-tteok (rice cake), Jeonnam Gurye gorosoe doenjang (soybean paste), and Chungnam Cheonan Byeongcheon sundae (blood sausage) are prepared, along with products suitable as Lunar New Year gifts such as hangwa (traditional Korean sweets), ham, and dried yellow corvina. Kwon Yong-gyu, Head of Value Management at Woowa Brothers, said, "Ahead of a non-face-to-face Lunar New Year, we expect many customers to enjoy the foods filled with local blessings at more affordable prices without burden," adding, "As Jeon-guk Byeolmi helps expand sales channels and increase sales for local small business owners, we will continue to establish it as a service that coexists with local producers through various promotions and events."
