The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Due to the influence of cold air coming down from the northwest, the morning low temperatures will drop to around -10 degrees Celsius in northeastern Gyeonggi and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, around -5 degrees Celsius in other central regions, and below 0 degrees Celsius in inland southern regions."
The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy nationwide, gradually clearing up from the morning.
Expected snowfall amounts from the evening of the 3rd are 5 to 15 cm in eastern Gyeonggi and Gangwon-do, 3 to 10 cm in Seoul, western Gyeonggi, northern Chungcheong, and northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang. Southern Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and northeastern inland Jeonnam are expected to receive 1 to 5 cm, and about 1 cm of snow is expected along the east coast of Gangwon and the northern east coast of North Gyeongsang.
If the snow changes to rain, expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10 mm in central regions, 5 mm in inland Jeonbuk and North Gyeongsang, and less than 5 mm in the east coast of Gangwon, Jeonnam, and Jeju.
Morning low temperatures on this day are △Seoul -7°C △Chuncheon -8°C △Gangneung -2°C △Daejeon -5°C △Cheongju -5°C △Daegu -2°C △Gwangju -1°C △Jeonju -3°C △Busan 3°C △Jeju 6°C.
Daytime high temperatures are △Seoul 1°C △Chuncheon 0°C △Gangneung 6°C △Daejeon 4°C △Cheongju 2°C △Daegu 6°C △Gwangju 6°C △Jeonju 4°C △Busan 9°C △Jeju 8°C.
Fine dust levels will be from good to moderate across all regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "In areas where heavy snow falls until dawn, accumulated snow may freeze, making roads and residential alleyways icy. Please ensure sufficient safety distance when driving and be especially cautious of traffic and pedestrian safety to prevent falls and accidents."
