On the 3rd, Mayor Seo announced that he visited 11 social welfare facilities, 2 Hanseon settlements, and veterans' organizations in the area consecutively to deliver prepared Seollal holiday gifts.
The county delivered the gifts non-face-to-face outside the facilities while adhering to quarantine rules such as temperature checks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
They strictly followed the health authorities' guidelines, including thorough disinfection of facility equipment and personal hygiene at each facility.
Mayor Seo said, "I understand that this year's Seollal is a more difficult time due to the spread of COVID-19," and added, "As we celebrate Seollal, the greatest traditional holiday of our nation, I will strive so that all residents can come together, feel warm love with neighbors in need, and embrace hope."
