Namwon-si, Slate Removal Support Project Promotion
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 3rd that it will promote a slate removal project in the first half of the year.
The city has been implementing a slate removal project since 2013, dismantling and disposing of slate roofing materials on buildings to protect citizens' health and improve residential environments.
Through this project, the city aims to eliminate health hazards caused by asbestos dispersion from slate roofs closely related to daily life, thereby contributing to the safety of its citizens.
In particular, this year, the city plans to proceed with 350 houses, 30 non-residential buildings, and 23 roof renovations, which is a 15% increase compared to the previous year's volume. Full support will be provided only for buildings on residential land so that citizens can live in a healthy residential environment without economic burden.
