43 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at Pocha Kkeutpanwang in Hwayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu
Gwangjin-gu Caught Dancing Inside the Ultimate Pocha Establishment on January 28, Immediately Suspended for 2 Months
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of Gwangjin-gu (Head: Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu) announced on the 3rd regarding the COVID-19 situation related to Pocha Kkeutpanwang in Gwangjin-gu, stating, "The total number of confirmed cases related to Pocha Kkeutpanwang announced by Seoul City is 43."
On January 28, Gwangjin-gu detected dancing activities inside the Pocha Kkeutpanwang establishment and immediately imposed a two-month business suspension.
Accordingly, the business suspension is scheduled to take effect from February 4 to April 4.
Fines will be imposed for violations of quarantine rules.
Additionally, to prevent recurrence, joint inspections by the police and public-private cooperation will be conducted three times a week on similar businesses.
Gwangjin-gu notified all users (a total of 212 people) who visited Pocha Kkeutpanwang on January 24 and January 27, when confirmed cases were present, to self-quarantine.
Furthermore, after a full survey of users from January 24 to 30, two rounds of text messages and phone calls have been made to guide COVID-19 testing and monitor the situation.
Moreover, on February 2 at around 7 p.m., a text message was sent to inform Pocha Kkeutpanwang users about COVID-19 testing.
Prior to this, from March, Gwangjin-gu has been continuously conducting weekday and nighttime joint inspections with the police and public-private cooperation.
The details regarding the first confirmed case and the infection route are currently under epidemiological investigation, and information will be promptly provided once confirmed.
