Baek Hyunjin: "Allow Book Borrowing and Reading at Songpa Book Museum"
'Representative Proposal of Partial Amendment to the Museum and Art Gallery Act'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 3rd, Bae Hyun-jin, a member of the People Power Party, announced that she has taken the lead in proposing a bill to allow borrowing and reading of books and materials at the 'Songpa Chaek Museum.'
Rep. Bae took the lead in proposing the "Partial Amendment to the Museum and Art Gallery Act," which establishes the legal basis for carrying out borrowing and reading service projects at the Chaek Museum.
Under the current law, there is no legal basis to carry out borrowing or reading service projects for museum materials, making it difficult for residents to borrow or read materials at complex museums like the Songpa Chaek Museum.

Once the law is passed, borrowing and reading can be performed without interfering with the museum's inherent functions. Rep. Bae said, "Although located in the center of Songpa, the Chaek Museum was like a pie in the sky. By creating a book lending function, we will make it a true treasure of Songpa that residents can also enjoy."
