View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Electronics announced on the 3rd that sales of its premium cordless vacuum cleaner 'Samsung Jet' have more than doubled in the nine months since the launch of the Clean Station, which automatically empties the dustbin. In the second half of last year, the purchase rate of Samsung Jet together with the Clean Station was recorded at 88%.
The Clean Station is an automatic dust disposal system exclusively for Samsung Jet. Users simply detach the dustbin from the vacuum cleaner and insert it into the Clean Station, which collects the dust. The Clean Station was developed based on Samsung Electronics' proprietary technologies such as Air Pulse, which creates air pressure by changing the airflow with an internal motor to empty the dustbin.
Samsung Electronics showcased the 2021 model Samsung Jet, which combines the cordless vacuum cleaner and the Clean Station into one, at CES 2021 and won the 'CES Innovation Award.' Samsung Electronics plans to launch this new Samsung Jet product in the domestic market next month. The company has also filed 14 patents related to this product, including an automatic dust disposal charging dock.
