Gyeongju City Provides 100,000 KRW Each for Sportswear to Low-Income Middle and High School New Students
Applications Accepted This Month, Payments Issued Next Month
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongju City announced on the 1st that it will provide sportswear expenses support to low-income families with children entering middle and high school.
Applicants must be registered residents of Gyeongju, and the support amount is 100,000 KRW per eligible child. However, if the applicant is receiving support through other programs, that amount will be deducted from this support.
Until last year, Gyeongju City provided 100,000 KRW for sportswear expenses as well as 300,000 KRW for school uniforms to low-income families. However, starting this year, since the school uniform support has been expanded to all citizens regardless of income, the sportswear expenses, which were excluded from this, will be provided separately.
