On the 31st, Judge Moon Gi-seon of the Ulsan District Court Criminal Division 9 announced that he sentenced taxi driver A, in his 40s, who was tried on charges of obstruction of business, to a fine of 1 million won.
In March of last year, while waiting for a passenger in a busy area of Nam-gu, Ulsan, A became enraged when another taxi driver, B, overtook him and picked up a passenger, and is accused of blocking B's taxi.
A is also accused of forcibly opening B's taxi door, grabbing the passenger's hand, and making them get out, causing a scuffle and obstructing business.

The court explained the sentencing by stating, "It is recognized that the defendant obstructed business by blocking the taxi driven by the victim to prevent lane changes simply because the victim picked up a passenger first, and by grabbing the passenger's hand and making them get out of the taxi."
