Jinju City, Outdoor Public Sports Facilities 'Limited Opening' ... Capacity Within 30%
Step-by-Step Reopening of Sports Facilities Starting February 1
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, will open six outdoor public sports facilities, including Jinju Sports Complex, starting February 1. However, access will be limited to Jinju residents only, with a capacity restriction of up to 30%.
The city had temporarily closed all public sports facilities in the Jinju area from November 19 last year due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). With this decision, limited use will be possible again after about two and a half months.
The locations include Jinju Sports Complex, Namgaram Sports Park, Jinju Public Stadium, Modeok Sports Park, Jinju Sports Park, and Pyeongga Life Sports Facilities, totaling six sites. Seven sports that comply with social distancing level 2 quarantine measures (tennis, jeonggu, park golf, gateball, lawn bowls, archery range, inline skating) will be available for use.

A Jinju city official stated, "We will do our best to manage quarantine measures along with phased reopening so that citizens who have had difficulties engaging in sports activities due to the closure of outdoor public sports facilities can enjoy a healthy life through exercise," and urged citizens to comply with quarantine rules.
