20s Arrested for Hitting Unknown Woman's Back of Head and Fleeing... Arrest Warrant Requested (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 20s who struck the backs of the heads of unfamiliar women near Gangnam Station in Seoul and fled has been apprehended by the police.
The Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that they arrested a man in his late 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of assaulting four women in their 30s and 40s, and have applied for an arrest warrant.
Mr. A is accused of hitting the backs of women’s heads with his hand and fleeing on the streets near Gangnam Station for about a month starting earlier this month. After receiving reports, the police identified Mr. A through CCTV footage analysis and arrested him the day before during a stakeout.
Investigations revealed that Mr. A did not commit the crimes under the influence of alcohol or drugs. All the victims were strangers to Mr. A.
A police official stated, "Considering the seriousness of the case and the risk of reoffending, we applied for an arrest warrant."
