[Photo] The Harbinger of Spring 'Boksucho' Blooming in the Snow at Hongneung Arboretum
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the afternoon of the 28th, when heavy snow fell, the Adonis amurensis, widely known as the harbinger of spring, shyly bloomed in the Hongneung Arboretum of the Korea Forest Service, located on the Cheonjangsan forest trail hidden by the sky.
Adonis amurensis (복수초) is also called 'Seollyeon' (雪蓮) or 'Ice Bird Flower' because it blooms on frozen ground and remaining snow.
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) renovated and opened a 1.76 km course of the Cheonjangsan forest trail connecting the Korea Forest Service, military base, behind Kyung Hee University Peace Hall, and Imun Children's Library in 2019.
